How to request deletion of your account and associated data
This page explains how to delete your Yogkulam account (yogkulam.com and the Yogkulam mobile app), and what happens to your data when you do.
You must be signed in to your account to make this request — being signed in is how we verify it is really you. No separate verification step is required.
If you're unable to access the app, you can request deletion by emailing tech@yogkulam.com from the email address linked to your account, or by sending your registered phone number to that address with the subject line "Account Deletion Request." We'll verify your identity before processing the request.
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Profile information (name, phone number, email) | Deleted |
| Profile photo and uploaded documents | Deleted |
| Course progress, notes and activity history | Deleted |
| App login credentials | Deleted — you will need to re-register to use Yogkulam again |
| Payment and transaction records | Retained for a limited period as required by Indian tax and financial regulations, then deleted |
| Support communications | Retained for a limited period for quality and dispute-resolution purposes, then deleted |
When you confirm deletion in the app, your account is immediately marked as scheduled for deletion. Your account and profile data are permanently deleted within 7 days of the request.
Data we're required to retain for legal or financial compliance (such as payment records) is deleted automatically at the end of its required retention period, and is not accessible to Yogkulam staff for any purpose other than compliance during that time.
If you request deletion by mistake, contact tech@yogkulam.com before the 7-day period ends and we will cancel the request. Once the deletion is completed, it cannot be reversed.
